What Makes Us Proud

Pilot Project in Regenerative Agriculture and Agroforestry

We launched a customer collaboration pilot project of regenerative agriculture and agroforestry. This initiative supports 47 French farmers, helping them implement practices that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and enhance soil carbon storage.

Driving Water Efficiency: 12% Reduction in Global Water Usage since 2021

Since 2021, and despite the integration of new facilities, we managed to reduce our water intensity by 12% at global level, developping a constant awareness among our associates, implementing Sustainable Cleaning practices in 100% of our bakeries, installing water efficiency devices in our offices and production lines, developping water inner circularity in our production lines and water reuse from our wastewater treatment plants.

Sustainable Innovation: Recycled Trays Initiative

We have launched a recycled trays initiative in Turkiye to reduce carbon emissions and integrate circular practices into foodservice operations.

The new trays are produced using recyclable, biobased, upcycled material, including surplus bread from our operations. These trays also incorporate bioplastic raw materials, contributing to a reduction in carbon footprint.

Raising our environmental standards in Italy

We are proud to recognize our italian bakeries of Monterotondo and Bomporto that both obtained their ISO14001 certifications in 2024, now heading towards their next challenge of ISO50001.

BQ Forest is growing! 26600 trees planted with social impact.

Since 2023, Bimbo QSR leaders decided to neutralize each year our corporate events through Forest Improvement programs, building our BQ Forest.​ This year our BQ Forest doubled its size up to 26600 trees planted in 8 different programs in Brazil, Europe, Africa and Asia, serving Biodiversity regeneration, Poverty relief and Food Security.​ We are proud to partcipate into regeneration activities at the same time as our mitigation responsibilities.
