Grupo Bimbo will donate more than 3 million slices of bread to Food Banks

Grupo Bimbo, the world's leading bakery group, held the ninth edition of the Bimbo Global Race. The event was held in 3, 5, and 10 km formats and brought together more than 140 thousand runners, making it one of the largest charity races in the world, reaching the goal of donating more than 3 million slices of bread to food banks. In this way, the company reaffirms its commitment to the communities where it operates, helping those who need it most, in line with its purpose of "Nourishing a Better World."   

The Bimbo Global Race returns in 2024, aiming to donate 2.8 million bread slices to those who need it most

  • Under the slogan "We share the good," the Bimbo Global Race invites runners to unite in support of local communities. 

Grupo Bimbo, the world's largest bakery company, is opening registration for the ninth annual Bimbo Global Race, the biggest “race with a cause” around the world, will take place on September. This year, Grupo Bimbo's goal is to donate 2.8 million slices of bread to international Food Banks by registering more than 140,000 runners physically and virtually worldwide.

Grupo Bimbo reports that 93% of its packaging is made of recyclable materials

  • The bakery presented its Annual Report 2023, "Behind our actions", with progress on its commitments for 2030 and 2050.
  • 98% of its daily consumption products are free from artificial colors and flavors.
  • 263 "Good Neighbor" projects, implemented in 28 countries, improved the quality of life of more than 440,000

Grupo Bimbo names Daniel Servitje Executive Chair; Rafael Pamias is appointed CEO

The non-governmental organization CDP recognized Grupo Bimbo, for its global efforts to combat climate change. The Mexican company has achieved the prestigious "A" rating in The A List 2023 ranking, which recognizes the highest quality in this area.

Among the 21,000 global companies representing diverse industries, Grupo Bimbo is among the Climate Change category winners, distinguishing itself as the sole Mexican food company to achieve this accolade.
