Grupo Bimbo, the world's leading bakery group, held the ninth edition of the Bimbo Global Race. The event was held in 3, 5, and 10 km formats and brought together more than 140 thousand runners, making it one of the largest charity races in the world, reaching the goal of donating more than 3 million slices of bread to food banks. In this way, the company reaffirms its commitment to the communities where it operates, helping those who need it most, in line with its purpose of "Nourishing a Better World."

Alberto Levy, VP of Global Marketing, said: "We are very grateful to the people who have registered for the physical race and the virtual format, donating their bit of flour so that together we can help feed those who need it most because, for every runner who registers for the physical race, Grupo Bimbo will donate 20 slices of bread, while for every runner who registers for the virtual format, 2 slices will be donated. Through this joint effort, we will donate more than 3 million slices to food banks. We are excited and proud to be a global company that has brought together more than 140,000 physical runners and a total of 300,000, adding those who ran virtually, to help nourish a better world.”

During this edition, the winners of the 2023 Bimbo Global Race traveled to the host city, Bogotá, Colombia, to visit the most emblematic sites of the place. They also had the opportunity to participate in the 2024 edition of the race and try to conquer the finish line once again.

Bimbo QSR united 1,159 associates globally who joined this race virtually. This year, we will contribute 10 buns for each participant, amounting to a total of 11,590 buns donated to local communities to nourish those in need.
